Pastor, author, and educator Voddie Baucham recently addressed the G3 conference on the meaning of the word “worship”. The 15mn video below contrasts his words of concern about worship as performance or an obsession over appearances and passions with a sampling of clips from megachurch worship services.
The point, of course, is not to mock megachurches but to get us to consider how we might tend to fall into either category of “theology Christians” or “worshipping Christians”, and to see how correct theology is meant to shape, invite, and motivate us into truer, more genuine worship of the Trinity.
